Places now restricted to dogs are still being used by dog owners. I feel there are plenty of designated areas for owners to use, and are usually the best locations in Sydney. Not all owners are responsible, and pick up dog faeces.
Please do not consider them using the beaches to threaten the wildlife that inhabit there.

Hi Gavin,
Thanks for informative meeting last night. While the resolution adopted is sound its just the beginning as you are well aware.
I think we ( the residents of Newport) need to act fast and boldly – as Rob Stokes indicated to you …”up the ante”…he may not be able to be openly disloyal to his party but we’re sure that he can assist guiding us through the maze that will ultimately achieve a good result for Newport.
As not many are even aware of this impending disaster a letter box drop all residents and businesses with a call to action is a must( We’re happy to assist in any way with this)
The message should counter the PR spin of the B Line …for lack of any hard facts to the contrary we are entitled to expect and project the worst.
A bus terminal anywhere near the beach will destroy the amenity of the whole suburb which, after all , is the reason most of us choose to live here.
Buses every 10 minutes charging through Newport village in both directions will destroy the amenity and therefore commercial viability of the Newport Shopping Precinct.
In fact its hard to imagine a better method of rubbishing all that Newport represents.
As Barry Unsworth and the Mona Vale group have demonstrated, public rallies work! They have successfully, for now it seems, moved the terminus to Newport!
This must be stopped and we must act quickly.
We do agree that the B Line is part of a larger “conspiracy” to increase the density of the Northern Beaches and will ultimately prevail but we must stop it terminating in Newport which of all the Northern Beaches, is least able to accommodate it without destroying that which it seeks to give better access to and from. Rob Stokes needs to feel the heat and soon.
Please let us know if we can assist

Dear Robert and Jeanny Orr,
Just a quick note to correct an impression you may have created.
As one of your “Mona Vale group” I can confirm the success of public rallies. However, in the instance you quote, our rallies had no part in the extension of the B-Line to Newport. We would not have been so naive as to imagine that Newport could have coped
as THE terminus or with your “buses every 10 minutes, charging through Newport”. To further correct the impressions you may have created, not even the reviled NSW Government’s Greater Sydney Commission or the B-Line itself declared intent to make Newport THE terminus or to have buses “charge” through Newport every ten minutes. Certainly no such suggestion was made by this Mona Vale group, which, by the way, is called Friends of Mona Vale.
No, never fear, big, bad Mona Vale has no evil plans for Newport.
That has been the sole preserve of the NSW Government intent on
jamming more high rise, people and their cars into the Peninsular
at any cost. Do you really think it will stop at Mona Vale, the Mona
Vale you use in one way or another every week ?
