NBC announces they are seeking applications to serve on the below Reference Groups

Under Pittwater Council the NRA generally had a representative on each Reference Group which allowed a great opportunity to help shape the councils future and direction and it opened the chance of great dialogue with both other reference group members from across the LGA and with key council staff. During the NBC administration period we had three representatives on app 6 reference groups although the council was careful to note the appointments as individuals and not community group representatives. We unfortunately think this strategy will continue however it should not stop individual NRA members from joining a group.

There is a dedicated SRG webpage that contains all the information

Nomination, Selection and Appointment Process
The nomination forms include specific questions for applicants to detail their interest, skills, experience and expertise relevant to the SRG.
If the number of applicants exceeds the charter membership, an independent panel will assess the nominations based on the information provided. The appointments will be based on merit to meet the membership composition detailed in the charters. The panel will provide a recommendation to the Chief Executive Officer for final appointment.
The Draft Policy for Appointing Community and Stakeholder Representatives to Committees outlines the appointment process. Elected representatives are not involved in the selection or appointment of committee members.
