The Northern Beaches Transport Strategy Discussion Paper has been designed to provoke community comment and allow Council to develop a Transport Strategy that meets the needs of today’s Community whilst providing for the future growth and economic development of the Northern Beaches. Its aim is to provide guidance for both Council and the State Government investment in Transport infrastructure and also to guide behaviour change within our community.
One of the NRA executive, Wendy Dunnet, has been appointed to the council reference group dealing with transport matters and via Wendy we will update this post with relevant information as we get it.
It is important that you have your say and give your input
Council held listening posts and drop in sessions for the community to have there say as follows,
Listening Post Monday 23rd April 10 – 11.30 – near Coles, Barrenjoey Road Newport
Drop -in session Wednesday 2-May-18 6.30pm – 8pm Newport Community Centre 11-13 The Boulevard Newport
Many NRA members attended both the Listening Post session and the Newport drop-in-session on Wed May 2nd and gave their views and made numerous comments to both staff and made stick-on-notes to the subject board.
One of our Executive Peter Middleton also made a detailed submission – it is well worth a read

Billie,
Sorry you have had trouble with the link (it is a zero not an O in the link)- unfortunately the letter you got in the mailbox was not from the NRA but they suggested you use that NRA link, however the link is for the NRA invitation to give us your e-mail address and complete a survey whether you want the B-Line as much. We believe the survey is more important at this stage than the old petition. You can access the survey either from our Facebook page (Newport Residents Association) or the front page of our website http://www.newport.org.au under the link ‘E-mail & Survey’
Thanks for contacting us.
